Early life and training

Adam Cole was born Austin Kirk Jenkins in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and began training for professional wrestling in 2007 before making his in-ring debut in 2008.

Ring of Honor and independent circuit

Cole became a major figure in Ring of Honor after joining in 2009, where he won the ROH World Championship three times and the ROH World Television Championship once. He also achieved notable success in independent promotions such as CZW and PWG.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Bullet Club

Cole wrestled in NJPW and was associated with Bullet Club, expanding his profile internationally. His work in this period is part of the broader acclaim he received on the independent and global wrestling circuits.

WWE and NXT
