Adam Levine was born in Los Angeles, California, in 1979. He started his music career in 1994 as a member of Kara's Flowers, where he performed as lead vocalist and lead guitarist.

Maroon 5

After Kara's Flowers did not succeed commercially, the group reformed in 2001 as Maroon 5. Levine became the band’s frontman and chief songwriter, and the group achieved major success with Songs About Jane in 2002 and later albums.

Television and acting

Levine expanded his profile beyond music through television and film. He was a coach on The Voice from 2011 to 2019, returned for additional seasons later, and appeared in American Horror Story in 2012.

Other business and recognition

Levine founded 222 Records in 2012 and received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017. His work has also earned multiple Grammy Awards through Maroon 5.
