Andy Reid was born in Los Angeles in 1958. He attended Brigham Young University, where he later began his coaching career as a graduate assistant.

Reid worked with the Green Bay Packers before becoming head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles in 1999. He became head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013.
