Barbara Bach

Barbara Bach is an American former actress and model best known for playing Major Anya Amasova in the James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).

Barbara Bach (born Barbara Ann Goldbach; August 27, 1946 or 1947) is an American former actress and model. She is best known for playing Major Anya Amasova in the James Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me (1977). She later married former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr and has largely been retired from acting since the early 1980s. She is also known as Lady Starkey.

Early life and modelling

Barbara Bach was born Barbara Ann Goldbach in Queens, New York City. She began modelling as a teenager and later worked internationally, including in Italy.

Acting career

Bach moved into acting in the late 1960s and appeared in Italian film and television productions. Her most widely known role was Major Anya Amasova in The Spy Who Loved Me (1977).

Personal life

In 1968, Bach married Augusto Gregorini, with whom she had two children before their divorce. She married musician Ringo Starr in 1981 and is also known as Lady Starkey.

Later life

After the early 1980s, Bach appeared less frequently in films and became better known for her marriage to Starr and her earlier work in modelling and film.
