Cal Foote is an American-born Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. Drafted 14th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2017, he has played in the NHL and AHL and won the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay in 2021. As of December 2025, he was under contract with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.

Early life and junior hockey

Foote was born in Englewood, Colorado, and developed as a junior player in Canada. He played major junior hockey with the Kelowna Rockets and was part of Canada’s international junior program.
