Charlotte Valandrey was born Anne-Charlotte Pascal in Paris. She grew up partly in Brittany. Her stage name referred to the Val-André area of Côtes-d'Armor, where she lived as a child. She adopted the stage name Charlotte Valandrey in 1985.

Film and television career

Valandrey gained early recognition for *Rouge Baiser*, which led to major attention in French cinema. Her later career included film, television, writing, and singing. She appeared in films such as *Orlando* and television series including *Les Cordier, juge et flic* and *Demain nous appartient*.
