He played 19 NHL seasons for the Quebec Nordiques, Washington Capitals, and Colorado Avalanche, and later became co-owner, president, and head coach of the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League.
Playing career
Hunter was drafted 41st overall by the Quebec Nordiques in 1979 and played in the NHL from 1980 to 1999. He became known for a physical style of play while also producing strong offensive totals.
