Early life and career

Dave Foley was born in Toronto, Ontario, in 1963. He began performing stand-up comedy and later formed a comedy partnership with Kevin McDonald before helping create The Kids in the Hall.

Foley is one of the co-founders of The Kids in the Hall, a major Canadian sketch-comedy troupe. The group became widely known through its television series, which ran from 1988 to 1995, and later film projects such as Brain Candy in 1996.
