David Crosby was an American singer-songwriter and guitarist best known as a founding member of the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash. He was a major figure in folk rock and California rock, and his career spanned more than six decades before his death in 2023.

Early life

David Crosby was born in Los Angeles in 1941. He was the son of cinematographer Floyd Crosby and later became part of the 1960s Los Angeles music scene.
