He made his film debut as a lead actor in *Hum Ek Hain* (1946) and became one of the best-known leading men in Hindi cinema. His career included acting, writing, directing, and producing, spanning several decades and more than 100 films.
Navketan Films
In 1949, he and his elder brother Chetan Anand co-founded Navketan Films. The company became associated with several notable Hindi-language films and helped shape his career as a producer.
