Dominik Szoboszlai is a Hungarian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Liverpool and captains the Hungary national team. He began his senior career in Austria with FC Liefering and RB Salzburg, later moving to RB Leipzig before joining Liverpool in 2023.

Early life and youth career

Szoboszlai was born on 25 October 2000 in Székesfehérvár, Hungary. He developed through Hungarian youth systems before beginning his senior career in Austria with FC Liefering in 2017.

Club career

Szoboszlai joined RB Salzburg in January 2018 and became a regular starter from the 2018–19 season. He moved to RB Leipzig in January 2021 for a reported €20 million, then a record fee for a Hungarian footballer. With Leipzig, he won two DFB-Pokal titles. In July 2023, he signed for Liverpool after the club paid his release clause of €70 million. He was part of the Liverpool squad that won the Premier League in the 2024–25 season.

International career

Szoboszlai has represented Hungary at youth and senior international levels. He has served as the national team captain.
