He signed with DreamWorks Records in 1997 and recorded his final two studio albums for the label. His song “Miss Misery” was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Song after appearing in *Good Will Hunting*. His final album completed during his lifetime was *Figure 8*, released in 2000.
