Gautam Gambhir is an Indian former international cricketer and current cricket coach and administrator, known as a left-handed opening batter. He played a major role in India's victories at the 2007 ICC World Twenty20 and the 2011 Cricket World Cup, and captained Kolkata Knight Riders to two Indian Premier League titles. He was appointed head coach of the India men's national cricket team in July 2024.

Early life and domestic cricket
