Reitman worked as a producer and director in Canadian and American film, becoming closely associated with large-scale comedy hits in the late 1970s through the 1990s. He produced 'Animal House' and directed 'Ghostbusters', one of his best-known successes. He founded The Montecito Picture Company in 1998.
