Born in Littleton, Colorado, to Canadian parents, she has represented Canada at multiple major tournaments, including the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the Olympic Games. Beckie won Olympic gold in 2020 and bronze in 2016.

Early life and youth career

Beckie was born in Littleton, Colorado, and grew up in Highlands Ranch. She developed through the American youth system and later played college soccer at Texas Tech University.

Club career

Beckie has played professionally in North America and England, including in the National Women’s Soccer League and the FA Women’s Super League. Her career has included time with Houston Dash, Sky Blue FC (later NJ/NY Gotham FC), Manchester City, Portland Thorns FC, and Denver Summit FC.

International career

Beckie chose to represent Canada at senior international level and became a regular attacker for the national team. She was part of the Canadian team that won bronze at the 2016 Rio Olympics and scored twice during the gold-medal run at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic women’s football tournament.
