Early life and education

Born in London, Ontario, Fleming began playing soccer at age three. She later attended the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she played college soccer for the UCLA Bruins while studying materials engineering.

Club career

After her collegiate career at UCLA, Fleming turned professional with Chelsea in 2020. She later moved to the Portland Thorns in the National Women's Soccer League, where she continues her club career.

International career

Fleming has been a senior Canada international since her teens. She became the team's captain by 2024. She was part of Canada's bronze-medal team at the 2016 Rio Olympics and gold-medal team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Olympic success

At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Fleming scored Canada's only goal in regular time in the gold-medal match against Sweden. She also converted the first penalty in the shootout, helping secure Canada's first Olympic women's football gold medal.
