Early life and college career

Gaudreau was born in Salem, New Jersey, on August 13, 1993. He grew up in New Jersey and played college hockey at Boston College before entering the NHL. He became widely known for his offensive skill and playmaking ability.

NHL career

He was selected by the Calgary Flames in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL Draft. He made his NHL debut in 2014. He played nine seasons with the Flames before signing a seven-year, $68.25 million contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets on July 13, 2022. He spent the final two seasons of his career there.
