Early life and amateur career

Rahm was born in Barrika, in Spain’s Basque Country, and developed as an amateur golfer at Arizona State University. He won the Ben Hogan Award twice and spent a record 60 weeks as the top-ranked amateur golfer in the world.

Professional career

Rahm turned professional in 2016 and quickly won on both the PGA Tour and European Tour. He later moved to LIV Golf in late 2023 and won the circuit’s individual championship in each of his first two seasons.

Major championships

Rahm won his first major at the 2021 U.S. Open, becoming the first Spanish man to win that event. He won his second major at the 2023 Masters Tournament.

International play

Rahm has been a regular Ryder Cup competitor for Europe and was part of Europe’s winning team in 2018 and 2023. He also represented Spain in amateur team competitions and in the Olympic movement’s reporting of his career.
