Josiah Slavin is an American professional ice hockey forward who has played in the National Hockey League (NHL) and the American Hockey League (AHL). He was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the seventh round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Slavin is the younger brother of NHL defenseman Jaccob Slavin.

Early life and junior hockey

Slavin was born in Erie, Colorado. He played junior hockey in the United States Hockey League (USHL) for the Tri-City Storm, Lincoln Stars, and Chicago Steel.

College career

Slavin played two seasons of NCAA hockey at Colorado College from 2019 to 2021. He recorded 26 points in 59 games during his college career.

Professional career

Slavin was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the seventh round, 193rd overall, of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. He has played in the NHL and AHL. His AHL teams have included the Chicago Wolves, Toronto Marlies, San Diego Gulls, and Rockford IceHogs. In July 2024, he signed a two-year contract with the Carolina Hurricanes. As of 2026, he was assigned to the Chicago Wolves.
