Early life and youth career

Jules Koundé was born in Paris and has family roots in Benin. He developed in French youth football before progressing through Bordeaux's system.

Club career

Koundé made his professional breakthrough at Bordeaux, earned a move to Sevilla in 2019, and later transferred to Barcelona in 2022. He won the UEFA Europa League with Sevilla in 2020 and has also won major domestic honours with Barcelona. He has become a regular starter at Barcelona, where he has been used mainly in defence.
