Kasper Peter Schmeichel is a Danish professional football goalkeeper.

Kasper Peter Schmeichel is a Danish professional football goalkeeper who has played for clubs including Manchester City, Leicester City, Nice, Anderlecht and Celtic, and has been a long-time member of the Denmark national team. He is the son of former goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel.

Club career

Schmeichel began his senior career with Manchester City after youth spells and loan moves. He spent time on loan at several clubs before establishing himself at Notts County and later Leicester City. He then played for Nice and Anderlecht before joining Celtic in July 2024.

International career

Schmeichel was a Denmark youth international and became a senior international in 2013. He has earned over 100 caps and has represented Denmark at major tournaments including the FIFA World Cup and UEFA European Championship, such as the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cups and UEFA Euro 2024.
