The series features celebrity contestants performing fear- and endurance-based challenges, usually under the supervision of a host.

Format

The series places celebrity contestants in physical and psychological stunt challenges. Contestants are eliminated over the course of the season until a winner is declared.

Broadcast history

The format began on Sony TV as Fear Factor India and later moved to Colors TV, where it became Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi in 2008. It has remained one of Colors TV’s long-running reality properties.

Hosts and presenters

Different seasons have been hosted or presented by Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Arjun Kapoor, and Rohit Shetty. Rohit Shetty has been the most frequent host in later seasons.
