Early life and debut

Lee Seung-gi was born in Seoul in 1987 and was discovered by singer Lee Sun-hee, who trained him for two years before his 2004 debut as a singer.

Music career

He became known for ballads and was popularly dubbed the "Ballad King" or "Prince of Ballads." His early hits included "Because You're My Woman," "Will You Marry Me," and "Return."

Acting career

Lee expanded into acting in the mid-2000s and achieved major popularity through television dramas, especially *Brilliant Legacy* in 2009 and later series such as *My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho* and *Vagabond*.

Other work and business activity

Beyond music and acting, Lee has worked as a television host and established the production company Human Made in 2021. In 2024 he signed with Big Planet Made Entertainment.
