Early life and education

Lori Anne Loughlin was born in New York City on July 28, 1964, and was raised in Hauppauge, Long Island. Reports on her early life also note that she began modelling as a child before moving into acting.

Acting career

Loughlin became widely known for her role as Rebecca Donaldson Katsopolis on Full House and later reprised the character in Fuller House. Her later television work included Summerland, 90210, Garage Sale Mystery, and When Calls the Heart. She co-created, produced, and starred in the WB series Summerland. She played Debbie Wilson on 90210 and Jennifer Shannon in the Garage Sale Mystery film series. She portrayed Abigail Stanton on When Calls the Heart from 2013 to 2019.

College admissions scandal

In 2019, Loughlin was charged in the U.S. college admissions scandal involving payments to help secure her daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California. Coverage in 2020 reported that she pleaded guilty and served a prison sentence.

Personal life

Loughlin was married to Michael Burns from 1989 to 1996 and married designer Mossimo Giannulli in 1997. The couple has two daughters.
