Early life and youth career

Martin Ødegaard was born in Drammen, Norway, in 1998. He developed as a youth player in Norway before joining Strømsgodset and breaking into senior football as a teenager.

Club career

Ødegaard made his senior debut for Strømsgodset in 2014 at age 15. He signed for Real Madrid in 2015, becoming the youngest player to appear for the club. After loan spells with Heerenveen, Vitesse, and Real Sociedad, he joined Arsenal on loan in January 2021, with the transfer becoming permanent later that year.

International career

Ødegaard made his senior debut for Norway in 2014, becoming the youngest ever player to appear for the senior side. He was later appointed national team captain in 2021.
