Early life and youth career

Memphis Depay was born on 13 February 1994 in Moordrecht, Netherlands. He began his youth career at VV Moordrecht and later played for Sparta Rotterdam before joining the youth academy of PSV Eindhoven.

Club career

Depay made his professional debut for PSV Eindhoven in 2011. He won the Eredivisie with PSV in the 2014–15 season and was the league's top scorer that season. He later played for Manchester United, Lyon, Barcelona, and Atlético Madrid before joining Corinthians in September 2024. With Corinthians, he won the Copa do Brasil in 2025.

International career

Depay made his debut for Netherlands FC in 2013. He represented the country at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and multiple UEFA European Championships. In 2025, he became Netherlands FC's all-time leading scorer, surpassing Robin van Persie.

Depay is primarily deployed as a forward or winger, often as a left winger or centre-forward. He is known for his direct attacking play and goal-scoring ability. He was named Eredivisie top scorer in the 2014–15 season.
