It follows Saitama and the Hero Association as new monsters emerge and Garou becomes a major threat. The season aired in 2019 and was animated by J.C. Staff.

Production

The season was animated by J.C. Staff, with Chikara Sakurai replacing Shingo Natsume as director. Series composer Tomohiro Suzuki, character designer Chikashi Kubota, and music composer Makoto Miyazaki returned from the first season.

Broadcast and distribution

One-Punch Man season 2 aired in Japan from April 10 to July 3, 2019, after a recap special broadcast on April 3, 2019. The season consists of 12 episodes. It was simulcast in several regions, including on Hulu in the United States and Tubi in Canada.

Music

The opening theme is "Uncrowned Greatest Hero" performed by JAM Project. The ending theme, "Chizu ga Nakutemo Modoru kara," is performed by Makoto Furukawa.

Plot

The season centres on Saitama, the Hero Association, and the rise of Garou as a major antagonist. After the events of the first season, monster activity increases and Garou emerges as a dangerous new opponent during the season’s central conflict.
