Raymond Cloutier

Raymond Cloutier is a Canadian actor, director, and writer from Quebec.

Raymond Cloutier (born May 3, 1945) is a Canadian actor, director, and writer from Quebec. He is known for his work in film, television, theatre, and cultural institutions, including cofounding the theatre troupe Le Grand Cirque Ordinaire and serving as director of Théâtre Outremont.

Early life and training

Cloutier was born in 1945 and studied at the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal and/or Québec, depending on the source. His early theatre interest and formal training are often noted as the foundation of his career.

Acting career

He has worked extensively in film and television since the late 1960s and is associated with Quebec productions such as Montréal blues, La Tête de Normande Saint-Onge, Cordélia, and Nuremberg.
