Career

Dio began his music career in 1957 with the Vegas Kings, later known as Ronnie and the Rumblers. He sang with Elf before joining Rainbow as lead vocalist in 1975. He replaced Ozzy Osbourne in Black Sabbath in 1979 and recorded with the band on albums including "Heaven and Hell" and "Mob Rules". He formed the band Dio in 1982, which later achieved platinum-certified albums in the United States. He co-founded Heaven & Hell in 2006 with former Black Sabbath bandmates.
