The series originally aired from 2001 to 2004, with a fifth and final season broadcast in 2017. Premise

The series centres on a feudal Japanese prince trained as a samurai who is sent into a dystopian future ruled by Aku. In that future, Jack travels widely while searching for a way back to his own time and a chance to undo Aku’s conquest.

Samurai Jack premiered on Cartoon Network in 2001 and ran there until 2004. The series returned in 2017 for a fifth and final season on Adult Swim.

Main character

The protagonist is known as Jack, also called Samurai Jack or simply the Samurai. He is a Japanese prince and warrior who was trained from youth, and he is voiced by Phil LaMarr.
