Sonali Phogat was an Indian actress, television personality, and politician from Haryana.

Sonali Phogat (born Sudesh Dhaka; 21 September 1979 – 23 August 2022) was an Indian actress, television personality, and politician from Haryana. She gained public recognition through social media, regional entertainment work, and her appearance on Bigg Boss 14, and later held roles in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s women’s wing.

Phogat was born on 21 September 1979 in Fatehabad, Haryana, and was also reported as originally named Sudesh Dhaka. Public profiles describe her as having begun her career as a television anchor before moving into broader media attention.

Entertainment career

She was credited as an actress in Hindi-language and regional entertainment projects and gained wider recognition through reality television. Her participation in Bigg Boss 14 in 2020 made her a familiar public figure beyond Haryana.
