Club career
Sneijder rose through Ajax’s youth system and made his senior breakthrough there. He went on to play for Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Galatasaray, Nice, and Al Gharafa. His club career included domestic league titles in the Netherlands, Spain, Italy, and Turkey. With Inter Milan, he won the Serie A title, the UEFA Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup, and two Coppa Italia titles. He was named UEFA Midfielder of the Season in 2010.
International career
Sneijder represented the Netherlands from 2003 to 2018 and became the country’s record appearance holder with 134 caps. He featured in three FIFA World Cups (2006, 2010, 2014) and three UEFA European Championships (2004, 2008, 2012).
