Wolfgang William Van Halen (born March 16, 1991) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter. He is best known as the former bassist of the rock band Van Halen and as the founder and frontman of the solo project Mammoth WVH (later shortened to Mammoth).

Early life and family

Wolfgang William Van Halen was born in Santa Monica, California, in 1991. He is the son of Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli and the nephew of drummer Alex Van Halen.

He became Van Halen's bassist in 2006, replacing Michael Anthony. He later recorded with the band on A Different Kind of Truth and performed with them until the band's final years following Eddie Van Halen's death in 2020.
