Early life and background
Xandra Velzeboer was born in Culemborg, Gelderland, and began skating at age eight at the Sportium ice rink in Den Bosch. The International Skating Union lists her as a student and former student of the University of Groningen.
Career
Velzeboer became one of the leading Dutch short track skaters, winning the women's 3,000-metre relay at the 2022 Winter Olympics. She later added individual Olympic titles in the 500 metres and 1,000 metres at the 2026 Games.
