Demetrius Flenory was born in June 1968 in Detroit, Michigan. Available sources consistently identify Detroit as his hometown and the starting point for his later criminal activity.

Black Mafia Family

BMF was founded in 1985 by Demetrius and Terry Flenory and became a major U.S. drug trafficking and money laundering organization. Sources say it expanded from Detroit into several other states by the early 2000s.

Arrest and conviction

Flenory was arrested in 2005 and convicted in 2008 on charges related to drug trafficking and money laundering. He received a 30-year federal prison sentence.
