Mélanie Maynard (born 5 October 1971) is a Québécoise actress, improviser and television and radio host from Ange-Gardien, Quebec. She became known through improvisation and roles in Quebec television, including *Km/h* and *Dans une galaxie près de chez vous*, and later hosted and co-hosted several television and radio programs. She has been hosting *Sucré Salé* since 2023.

Early life and education

Maynard is from Ange-Gardien in Montérégie, Quebec. She studied theatre at Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe and later earned a bachelor’s degree in drama education from Université du Québec à Montréal.

Career in acting and improvisation

She first gained wider recognition through the Ligue nationale d’improvisation in 1995. Her television work includes roles in *Km/h*, *Caméra café*, *Une grenade avec ça?* and *Dans une galaxie près de chez vous*.

Hosting and radio work

Maynard expanded into television and radio hosting, including *Deux filles le matin*, *Pièce d’identité*, *Le Club Mel*, and several radio programs.
