Early life and education

Olena Zelenska was born on 6 February 1978 in Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. Her birth name was Olena Volodymyrivna Kyiashko (also romanized as Kiyashko). She is Ukrainian by nationality.

Career before the presidency

Before becoming First Lady, Zelenska worked as a screenwriter and television producer. She was involved in entertainment projects before her husband, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, entered national politics.
